    • Enable procurement teams to avoid making purchases that may unwittingly carry heavier environmental or social burdens than single-use plastics

  • Work with heads of human resources to:

    • Create ​bespoke training webinars with local and departmental relevance for hotel staff

    • Create a series of A4 documents for display in staff areas to support training webinars 

    • Identify additional means for staff to support your approach to plastic reduction e.g. beach cleans, voluntary opportunities and enable data collection to measure the impact of such activities

  • Work with branding and communications teams to:

    • Develop a range of staff communications to support training objectives

    • Create a strategic external communications approach to raise the positive profile of the business with customers, shareholders, tour operators and the wider tourism industry, and support its roll out via our global networks

    • Identify branding opportunities with suppliers of alternatives to single-use plastics to further raise the business profile 

  • Coordinate with CSR/Sustainability Team to:

    • Ensure that the approach to plastic reduction supports other sustainability objectives e.g. food waste, carbon reduction, local supply chain approach

    • Undertake an impact analysis resulting from changes to consumption, cost and carbon reduction via the plastics database

    • Create copy for annual CSR reports

    • Prepare a full case study into plastics reduction, achievements, lessons learned and the business case.
