It doesn't make sense to reinvent the wheel, so we're delighted to work together with you to adapt the content of our Toolkit or any of our Guidance documents to fit the specific requirements of your destination.
Every destination is different, there may be differentiated legislation when it comes to single-use plastic reduction or the items that can replace it, so it makes sense to have something that is locally relevant, but this doesn't mean spending time and resources having to create toolkits from scratch. There are a variety of options to choose from when it comes to licensing the use of our content and we're always very flexible in our approach.
-
The licence enables the user to co-brand the full Toolkit or to choose from a range of documents and to adapt content to local context.
-
The co-branded documents may be distributed free of charge to your network of accommodation providers and hospitality businesses.
-
Licensees receive an updated copy of the LRSU Guide each year throughout the agreed licence period
Licences can be supported with additional optional services such as stakeholder workshops, webinars and consultancy support as toolkits are rolled out locally.

TWP is delighted to be collaborating with Turismo de Portugal as part of a wider sustainability initiative in the destination, the “Sustainable Tourism: a better future for everyone” project, financed by the Portuguese Environmental Fund. The project will tackle a range of sustainability topics including the reduction of single-use plastic products in tourism, resource efficiency and carbon management.
The Let's Reduce Single-Use Guide and the Sustainable Communications Guide for accommodation providers are being adapted to a Portuguese context and subsequently translated in order to be made available to businesses free of charge.
This will be supported by the Let's Reduce Single-Use Self Assessment that helps businesses to identify where and how single-use plastic is consumed within their businesses.
Additional inspiration and guidance All of the activities will be supported by a series of webinars to engage local businesses.
Guides and tools created as part of the Vamos Reduzir os Plásticos de Uso Único are freely available to Portuguese Tourism Businesses.
Working with Travel Without Plastic to adapt toolkit documents to the Portuguese tourism context
For Turismo de Portugal, it is a great opportunity to work with Travel Without Plastic in order to increase awareness in Portuguese tourist professionals regarding the reduction of single-use plastic, help them find better solutions for the environment and really make the difference in achieving an even more sustainable destination – that’s our path.
